Paul is an award-winning teacher and creator of innovation and entrepreneurship programs, courses, resources, and tools. As an advisor, mentor and coach, he engages founders in a unique creative development process that helps shape new ideas into emerging companies. At Harvard, he is also the executive director of innovation education at the Harvard Paulson School of Engineering and the faculty director of the Harvard College Innovation Challenge and the Innovation Fellows Program. He created TECH in 2000 with Venkatesh Narayanamurti and initiated Harvard's support for undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship education. Since then he has been responsible for developing Harvard's undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship program, including it's first startup courses, competition, and incubator.
Formerly a practicing new venture and intellectual property attorney, Paul co-founded blockchain startup Squarelink and, in the biotech industry, he co-founded Pulmatrix and Medicine in Need Corporation, an international nonprofit organization developing drug and vaccine delivery systems for infectious diseases. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Middlebury College and his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School; he is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar.
