HousingCELLC members live together in Johnson McFarlane dormitory. CELLC members are also eligible to live in Nelson dorm their sophomore year if they choose to live with other LLC members. Activities CELLC members are required to attend the one retreat each quarter. They are also required to attend three activities throughout each quarter. These activities are very enriching and provide a great way for students to experience the University of Denver and the incredible city of Denver. From plays, operas, lectures, dinners, and numerous other exciting FREE activities, students are able to choose which events they take part in. Filling the requirement of three activities is fun, exciting, and educational for each member of this Living and Learning Community. Class Work CELLC members are required to take a 2 credit course every quarter. This course meets for two hours, once a week, and intertwines creativity and entrepreneurship. For the first quarter, the students take a four week beginning entrepreneurship class and a four week acting improvisation class. The second quarter focuses on another version of creativity. In addition to the four weeks of entrepreneurship, we worked with a faculty member of the Digital Media Studies department to create different types of websites. From content management systems to image galleries, we worked in teams to create exciting and interesting websites. The third quarter of this course focuses on cooking as another example of creativity. Once again four weeks of the class works with entrepreneurship and four weeks are spent in the kitchen creating edible masterpieces. Please take into consideration that this is only a two credit course, yet it still requires time and effort, but don’t worry it is FUN!!!
